Team SONIA would like to thank Brüel & Kjær for the major donation they provided us. With this donation, we were able to replace a broken hydrophone and thus repairing our passive sonar system.
Thank you
Team SONIA would like to highlight the outstanding support CIC provided us throughout the year. Not only did they provide us with free PCBs, but they did it with a fast and impeccable service.
Thank you for your irreplaceable help.
Team SONIA is proud to announce a new partnership with DeepSea Power & Light. They donated us a Led Multi-Sealight Matrix. This powerful light will give us a better control over our lighting environment. We will also be able to do test at night from now on.
The SONIA AUV team wants to thank DeepSea Power & Light for their precious help.
Team SONIA is proud to announce that we already have a pool test under our belt this year. We had a pool for 4 hours this saturday, giving us plenty of time to reproduce last year's competition obstacle course.
Even though many members of our team graduated last summer, we were able to complete a great portion of the course. In 4 hours we manage to do the following task:
- Gate
- Pipe
- Bouy
- Pipe
- Head for pinger
- See the briefcase
- Surface
At the end we were also able to grab the briefcase by only testing this part of the mission. We did not have enough time to chain the grabbing part to the rest of the mission.
You can see the pictures of this test right here!
The team was very satisfied of this first test and we are looking forward to the next test in the upcoming weeks.
